SEO Marketing with Epic Content
What is epic content?
Epic content really doesn’t have a meaning. It means different things to different people. But when it comes down to it, content marketing simply means that you are writing engaging, thought provoking content on your website to entice a reader to stay and explore what you have to offer. So in a sense, epic content means writing about things no one else has and that are truly going to capture an audience.
So how do we do that exactly?
In the world of SEO, we want to be able to write epic content, but at the same time optimize our visibility so that users can find us.
Sounds simple, right? For some yes, for the inexperienced, not so much. Just remember, the ultimate goal of content marketing is to engage your customers. You need to positively affect them in some way so that they will remember you, do business with you and come back time and again.
It’s important to know what your content should do and how it should be done. It should address a need or answer a question that your customers may have.
It should be useful to them in some way. Content that is NOT about your business, but related to your industry is a very powerful tool in the content marketing arena. The content should be above and beyond what you are actually offering in the way of your goods and/or services. It should help them understand why they may need your particular product or service but it should help them fill in questions they have about the topic in general. Does that make sense? If it does, then we are getting there.
Epic content delivers on promises that your product or service makes.
You write about what’s important to them on the topic they are seeking without having to continually mention your business. You discover your own voice and your own way of delivering this content to your customers and they will come back for more. And what does that mean for you and your company? More business and more repeat business at that! Your content is going to have a point of view and most customers can choose to follow that view or not. The important thing to know with this is that you are being true to your belief, you are not swaying in your ideas and this is going to lead to more customers having respect for you and what you do. This, in turn, will make people see how important and helpful your point of view is.
What it all comes down to is this: in the world of SEO we are all looking for the right content to promote our business.
Your website is as good as the content you provide for it and the more engaged your customers are (both current and potential) the more they will come back. If you don’t think coming up with fresh content every week is your thing, let an expert focus on this for you instead.
